Children 18:3

Children 18:3 is simply fun punk rock. They haven't done anything different or innovative. Yet that's not to say their music is not incredibly good. I am not that into punk rock but these guys instantly became one of my favourite bands. Each band member is very gifted on their respected instrument.

Children 18:3 got their name from Matthew 18:3 it says "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven"

This band is very unique in that all the band members are siblings and each has been home schooled their whole life. Don't let their look put you down on their music. They're very down to earth people and have a very close relationship with God. Children 18:3 is one of the best Christian Rock Releases of 2008. I highly recommend you give them a listen.

Boyce Avenue

Boyce Avenue is one of the most overlooked pop bands out there today. They started infusing there take on pop songs like "Shadow of the Day" Linken Park and Rihanna "Umbrella". There versions of these songs were very original and competed to be as good as the original artists. I look to these guys for musical influence often and have much respect for them. There original songs are quite powerful as well. The lyrics these guys write are amazing and there song ideas and musicianship match. Boyce Avenue could easily be as big as The Fray or One Republic in a couple years.

First Post (Colbie Caillat)

The first artist I want to look at is Colbie Caillat. This women is incredibly gifted and talented. Her music is something that you can just put on and chill with. There isn't anything that she does that really makes her musically superior too other artists in her genre. Her tracks all have the same feel to them very up beat and happy. I'm happy with her album coco it has gotten many listens and will get many more. Her lyrics deal with love for the most part and some of her lyrics get a little to personal for me too really connect with them (Midnight Bottle, Bubbly). Her lyrics also get a little immoral on "Bubbly" but for me this was a minor issue. I like her music alot and I recommend her to anybody that enjoys mainstream acoustic pop.

Also if anybody has any artist or band they want me to check out let me know I'm always looking for new music.
